Roxane Lukas named 2021 National Human Resources Association Executive of the Year finalist

Scopely’s Chief People Officer Roxane Lukas was named a 2021 Executive of the Year finalist by the Los Angeles Chapter of National Human Resources Association (NHRA LA)

The award aims to recognize outstanding human resource (HR) leaders and decision-makers in the Los Angeles area.

Congratulations to Roxane for being recognized for your many contributions and the impact you’ve had on individuals, teams and businesses over the course of your exceptional career!” – your Scopely team

Roxane was recognized this year among four additional impressive HR leaders. The 2021 NHRA – Los Angeles (National Human Resources Association) Executive of the Year finalists were:

  • Roxane Lukas: Chief People Officer at Scopely
  • Amy Thompson: Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer at Mattel
  • Christi Karandikar: Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield
  • Vina Leite: Chief People Officer at The Trade Desk
  • Veronica Garcia: Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Management at Skid Row Housing Trust

Amy Thompson was awarded as the winner at the annual celebration on September 23, 2021.

Each year, the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA LA) goes through a detailed nomination and selection process for every potential honoree. With letters of recommendation from each individual’s leader(s)–in Roxane’s case, Javier Ferreira and Walter Driver, the co-CEOs of Scopely, and in-depth interviews with members of each individual’s team, current and former peers and colleagues, and the candidate themself, the process ensures the best-of-the-best are awarded.

The NHRA LA selected Roxane for her ongoing dedication to helping individuals, teams and companies define success criteria and achieve their goals–which she has been doing for more than two decades. Prior to serving as Chief People Officer at Scopely, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of People at TechStyle Fashion Group. She also already had in-depth games industry experience before her time at Scopely, serving 8+ years at Electronic Arts (EA) as a global Vice President of HR, running talent strategy and leading M&A integrations. Roxane additionally founded a leadership coaching and consulting firm, The Realis Project, and has held executive development positions at both Levi Strauss and BeamPines, Inc. Roxane is a mentor to young women launching their careers through Worked Up, an associate of Rewire Leadership Institute®, and has completed training at the Pacific Gestalt Institute, Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and New Ventures West. She holds a Masters degree in Executive Development from New York University, another in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica and a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from Skidmore College.

Congratulations to Roxane for this honor!
