On National Ice Cream Day, “MONOPOLY GO!” teamed up with the viral ice cream shop, Taiyaki NYC®, for a mouth-watering pop-up event celebrating the game, its players and the launch of the new “MONOPOLY GO!” board game.
Players and newcomers of the game indulged in limited-edition ice cream flavors “Billion Dollar De Leche” and “MONOPOLY GO! $trawberry” complete with Mr. Monopoly's iconic elements, like his signature mustache made of fondant and a chocolate top hat. It was the perfect combination of the joy of ice cream with the excitement of the iconic MONOPOLY brand.
Taiyaki NYC was the perfect place to celebrate the community spirit, offering players a chance to connect and enjoy a real-life extension of their favorite game. The store’s Chinatown location was fully decked in “MONOPOLY GO” branding from the walls on the inside to stepping stickers following the lines around the block.
We also blended the world of digital and physical games with a Community Chest QR code where lucky Tycoons could win “MONOPOLY GO!” stickers, hats and t-shirts and even some special-edition “MONOPOLY GO!” tabletop games.
We were thrilled to share over 3,000 “MONOPOLY GO!”-themed ice cream cones with our players at four locations and in two cities! Thank you to all of our Tycoons who came to experience the "MONOPOLY GO!" universe “IRL”!
