Walter Driver is the co-founder, Chairman and Co-CEO of Scopely, an interactive entertainment company and one of the largest independent publishers of mobile games in the western world. Scopely leverages its proprietary technology platform and publishing expertise to deliver immersive gaming experiences to both casual and core audiences around the globe. Scopely has launched six consecutive top-grossing franchises, including: the award-winning Star Trek™ Fleet Command, Looney Tunes™ World of Mayhem, WWE Champions 2019, The Walking Dead™: Road To Survival, YAHTZEE® With Buddies and Wheel of Fortune®: Free Play. Under Walter’s leadership the company has attracted more than $250M in financing from leading venture capital firms, tech luminaries, and cultural icons.
Walter was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young in 2016 and has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a “Young Global Shaper” and by Goldman Sachs as one of the “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs.” Under Walter’s leadership Scopely was recognized as one of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies” by Fast Company and was named the second fastest growing technology company in North America on Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 500” list.
Walter is an investor and advisor to many high growth technology companies including Thrive Market, Blue Vision Labs (exited to Lyft in 2018), Frontier Car Group, and Embrace.io as well as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Los Angeles Technology & Innovation Council. Prior to Scopely, Walter founded and served as CEO of O Negative Media where he developed online social games. Before O Negative, he co-founded Ignition Interactive, one of the first developers of third-party applications for Facebook. Walter holds a B.A. in English Literature from Brown University.
