This Scopely Candidate Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Scopely, Inc., Scopely Games Barcelona, S.L., and their affiliates (collectively "Scopely," "we" or "us") handle personal information collected when you or third parties acting on your behalf search or apply for a position with Scopely, including through Scopely’s career pages.
This Notice covers individuals anywhere in the world seeking employment with Scopely, as well as all types of contingent and non-permanent positions, including agents, independent contractors, consultants, temporary contract workers, professional advisors and interns. We may update this Notice periodically by posting a new version with an updated Effective Date. We may use your candidate information to perform a background check if you are offered a position with us. If we determine that we cannot hire you as a result of information discovered during that background check, we will notify you of that determination. We may provide you copies of your background check information as required by applicable law.
We may also use your candidate information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or to protect the rights and interests of Scopely, our players, employees, applicants and others, as required and permitted by applicable law.
If you accept employment with Scopely, your candidate information will form part of your employment record and will be used for employment purposes.
How We Share Candidate Information
We may share candidate information with various third parties as necessary in connection with the recruitment process, your future employment, and other lawful grounds. For example:
Affiliated companies: We may share candidate information with our affiliates and subsidiaries around the world in connection with the recruitment process and for the purposes outlined above.
Service providers: We may share certain candidate information with vendors, partners, and other third parties who carry out work on our behalf – for example, candidate sourcing, recruitment software, payroll support, benefits support and background checking services. We do so on a "need to know basis" and in accordance with applicable laws. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you give us permission to do so.

Transfer of Information As we operate globally, we may need to transfer personal information to countries other than the ones in which the information was originally collected. If we export your personal information to a different country, we will take appropriate measures to protect your information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Data Retention Personal information will be stored only as long as necessary to carry out the purposes described in this Notice or as otherwise required or permitted by law. If you are not offered a position and don’t want us to keep your information on file for future opportunities, please contact us as described below, but please note that we may retain information to the extent required by law.
Your Rights and Choices In some regions (like the European Economic Area), you may have the right to request access to your personal information, or to request correction, amendment or deletion of your personal information. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. To make this type of request, please contact us as described below (or in some cases, you can make a request directly through Lever, a third-party recruiting tool). Please note that we will need sufficient information establishing your identity in order to fulfill your request. Where we can validate your identity, we will process any such request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
